When you’re retired and living on a fixed income it’s a great idea to look for ways to save money anywhere you can. There are a few apps that I use on my phone all the time to save a little extra. It adds up fast!
ibotta – This app has a many retailers, grocery stores, movie theaters, even restaurants and online shopping. You need to “unlock” your product and then take a picture of the reciept and scan the bar code and within a few hours to a few days you receive the money into your account which you can access through paypal.
Checkout 51 – This is somewhat of the same premise of ibotta except you don’t need to to purchase the grocery items from a specific store. But you have to be quick, there are only a certain number of offers per product, so if you see one you like, it could be gone the next day.
Ebates – If you do a lot of online shopping this is a very easy way to save some money. All you have to do is go to the Ebates website, find the store you wish do do you shopping at and click shop now and that’s it! You can usually have save between 2%- 10% on your purchases at places like Target, Shutterfly, Macy’s and Walmart. Amazon too!
Target Cartwheel – LOVE this app. I love Target. It’s easy to use and I always check it before I go into the store to see if there is any great coupons for products I am purchasing or if I’m purchasing something that’s not on my list you can scan the product through the app and it checks to see if there is a deal! You just show the cashier your phone when you check out and you save! If you don’t have a smart phone you can also go to their site and print out the offers as well.
