Retirement is the best decision I could have made. When people who are retired say “I don’t know how I ever had time to work”, I would think really, how do you keep so busy.
Well now I’m saying the same thing.
I have two daughters, when I retired I had a grandson from one daughter, who was 18 months old and he melts my heart. My other daughter, was pregnant with my second grandson who was born with a bi-lateral cleft lip/palate. You can read his story on my daughter’s site. My daughter had also just bought a house and I have painted all the rooms, finished numerous remodeling projects from her never ending list. My first daughter will be buying a house soon and plan on many new future projects.
We have a cottage on Seneca Lake that was a fixer upper and after 18 years we are seeing light at the end of the remodeling tunnel. I like to sew, garden and now I’m dabbling in reuphostering a chair when I have the time.
We are starting to branch out a little by traveling in the winter time. This year we spent a month in Daytona Beach , Florida. It was a nice retreat from the bitter cold of upstate NY.
